Perfect 10: Fun breaks for brides and their hens!

Over the years, hen dos have become a little bit repetitive - and there’s only so many penis straws and sweaty strippers we can take! A hen do should be as much fun for the hens as it is for the bride, so if you’re anything like us and you’re desperate for something a little different, check out these fantastic (classy) fun break suggestions....

Paddle boarding in Cornwall

If you and your girls like getting wet and wild at the weekend - in the great outdoors - then pack your bags and head to Cornwall! Book cheap flights in advance or turn your journey into a fun-filled road trip and make your way to Crantock Bay. There you’ll find a beautiful estuary with stunning views, plenty of quaint little cottages to rent and the opportunity to go paddle boarding with the Crantock Bay Surf School. It’ll certainly be challenging, but you’ll get to take in the idyllic scenery, work on your fitness (pre wedding) and have a great laugh!

Afternoon tea in London

Afternoon tea has well and truly made a comeback, and it’s the perfect way to catch up with friends, indulge and celebrate upcoming nuptials! There are several afternoon options available in London at the moment, each one with its own quirky twist! The Madhatters Afternoon Tea is one of our favourites and takes place as the beautiful Sanderson Hotel. Fancy dress isn’t allowed, but there’s no reason why you can’t doll yourselves up after your tea and head out into Soho!

Rent a castle in Scotland

Travelodges certainly do a job, but they’re not exactly exciting or glamourous. Why not steal away with your girlfriends for an entirely weekend and spend quality time together in your very own castle instead?! The 15th-century Scottish castle Aikwood Tower will provide you the privacy you need to be as loud as you like, offers you five sumptuous double bedrooms, and you request one of the local caterers to come and cook for you! How could you pass up being queen for a weekend?!

Be a babe in the woods

If you want a truly unique hen do, forget nightclubs, restaurants and bars - take to the woods instead! Babes in the Woods offers an incredible hen party beneath a canopy of tree tops. You’ll receive a champagne reception with cream tea before you set off along ancient paths, enjoy a bushcraft workshop and tuck into dinner beside a roaring campfire! You can treat yourselves to massages, yoga and listen to fun stories under the stars with your friends.

Beach yourself in Wales

You can’t quite beat being by the seaside, especially when you’re with your best friends! There are plenty of seaside resorts in Wales, but we recommend renting a beautiful cottage or holiday apartment overlooking the Pembrokeshire coast. You can have fun nights in cooking, reminiscing and pampering yourselves, or turn it into an active break by taking to the sea for some kayaking or a boat trip!

If you’re in charge of organising a hen do, whether it’s your own or somebody else’s, and you’re keen to keep it close to home, why not consider getting our girls round for a pamper session? To discuss ideas and what we can offer, just give us a call today!
