The Perfect 10 ways to Beat the January Blues

EAT - Pick a cool restaurant to visit from The Nudge - we recently checked out the Old Tom & English in Soho after reading their recommendations and we LOVED it!

DRINK - is your January dry or booze-filled? If you fancy a cheeky one (two, three...) then head to the Canvas Bar in Shoreditch. It's our new favourite hang out. 

SLEEP - Dr Andrew Weil (the brains behind the popular skincare range with Origins) has just released a new study to help us relax and sleep better simply by breather in for 4 seconds and our for 8. Watch the video and read all about it here

MEDITATE - Now some of you might be terrified by the concept of umming and ahhing, but we have found that meditating for just 10 minutes a day has made a huge difference to our January blues. We would recommend downloading Mindfulness and getting yourself in the zone. 

STRETCH - Get yourself down to a couple of yoga classes this month and have a good old stretch! Download Mind Body Connect on the app store and you can find out where your nearest classes are. 

GYM - It's that time of year where we all want to get our bodies into good shape after munching our way through Christmas. Our local gym is called Reach - home to celebrity trainer Rich Tidmarsh. Check out his top tips for the perfect body here. Rich's mantra is 'strong not skinny', and working with the likes of Millie Mackintosh, James Haskell, Jimi Manuwa and Professor Green we can see that what Rich does works! 

WATER - Drinks lots! and lots! and lots! When you work out, you have to replenish your body with water from all the sweat you produce. As you lose water, you some how have to gain it, so drinking at least 2 litres a day is a must. Grab a big bottle of water, take it everywhere with you and keep refilling it! 

GLOVE SERVICE - Now the weather's getting bitterly cold, there is no reason for your fingers to freeze as you are typing texts and taking calls. Invest in some gloves that you can wear outside and still use your phone. Look chic and keep your perfect polished fingers nice and toasty! 

EARLY BIRD - Dark nights and mornings make the days seem so short at this time of year. Why not try and get yourself into work 20 minutes earlier, complete your personal admin and miss the rush hour traffic - another reason why we get the blues in January!
