Royal Baby Gift Worthy

With the announcement of Royal Baby #2 on the way, the UK (and the world!) have become baby obsessed yet again.

Even with this major news, it seems we are always on the search for the perfect baby gift for our family and friends who are constantly expecting new, sweet littles.  We've recently discovered these British-based, sustainable brands fit for a future prince + princess we couldn't resist sharing...

1. The Stylish: Ace&Me

After having their first children and successful careers in Fashion Buying and TV Production, Swedish Londoners and cousins Anna Eberstein + Pia Hagno launched Ace&Me this September.  They saw the need to fill a niche in the kid’s apparel market with a more stylish take on the traditional Swedish slipper socks.  In Sweden, the slipper sock is essential to a child’s daily wardrobe at home and in nursery.  London is now embracing the trend with some nurseries even requesting parents to bring special inside play shoes with non-slip soles for their children.

So what sets Ace&Me apart from the rest?  Not only do they aim to have more stylish designs, but more importantly they are committed to being environmentally responsible.  Each pair of socks is handmade in Sweden and instead of leather uses a clever micro fibre that is 100% recyclable and eco-friendly.  Even Ace&Me’s packaging materials have no contaminants and use considerably less energy and natural resources to produce.

Ace&Me launched this September with 6 unique designs and sizes ranging from newborns to 4 years making it the perfect baby or stocking stuffer gift this winter.  Visit Ace&Me to purchase and for more information!

2. The Bespoke: Hanna Bears

Hanna Bears is a British company founded by Emily Hanna who creates bespoke handmade teddy bears.  Whether its for a newborn baby or christening gift, Emily works with her clients to create one-of-a-kind bears (and other animals upon request) made with patchwork fabrics and hand-embroidered details.  She creates pretty much anything upon request and even can use recycled materials like beloved baby blankets or wedding dress fabric to add that extra personal touch.  Popular themes include family tartans, christmas, baby blue + pink and the British flag.  Emily hand-embroiders whatever a client desires including names, personal messages and unique imagery.

Hanna Bears' next venture is into the bridal world, partnering with Bella Bridesmaids to offer bespoke bears as flower girls' gifts.  I'm sure Kate + Wills would approve of a British handmade bespoke bear for their next little royal!

Hanna Bears is offering P10 clients 15% off their purchase during the month of October. Visit hannabears.com and use the code 'perfect10 ' at checkout!

 3. The Classic: Catiouche

Baby sleepwear is not only an essential, but is one of the most important pieces of clothing for newborns considering they are sleeping more than half the day!   London-based brand Catiouche was created by Lana Berglas who's fashion background combined with the birth of her daughter inspired her to create a classic, sustainable baby sleepwear line.

Catiouche uses 100% organic cotton, which not only makes it softer and more durable than regular cotton, but also keeps synthetic chemicals and irritants away from baby's precious skin.   Their commitment to being environmentally responsible is also reflected in their use of recycled paper packaging and hang tags, water based inks for printing and organic cotton for all trimmings and brand labels in the garments.

Catiouche's  main focus is creating comfortable sleepwear for babies and children in timeless designs. London-based + eco + classic = Royal approved!  To purchase or for more information visit catiouche.com.
